Wendy is a graduate level finance professional with a wealth of experience in the university and third sector. She has supported Feniks in a freelance capacity since July 2020 and has been employed as the Finance Manager (part-time 7 hours a week) since September 2025.

Wendy takes a proactive approach to ensure that Feniks has an effective and reliable finance function. She leads the budget preparation process, ensures that there are robust financial processes to achieve accurate and reliable financial records, and prepares management accounts for the Board. She works closely with the CEO and staff team to support funding applications, monitor spend against budgets, and report spend to funders. She helps to ensure that Feniks has the resources to be sustainable going forwards.

As well as supporting Feniks, Wendy also works part-time for The Ripple Project in Edinburgh and Support After Rape & Sexual Violence Leeds (SARSVL). It is important to Wendy that she works for organisations that align with her values and where she feels that she can contribute to making a positive difference in people’s lives.
