Grahame was appointed as a Board Trustee and our Charity Secretary in July 2022. After graduating from Edinburgh University, he enjoyed a 40 year career in the Department of Health and NHS management, mostly with NHS mental health services in north-east England. Grahame has extensive experience in capital planning, including writing business cases and as Project Manager for major new hospital developments. He also held senior posts in corporate planning, performance management and risk management and assurance.

Before retiring he helped to set up and was Company Secretary for NTW Solutions Ltd, a wholly owned NHS subsidiary company providing hospital support services, with a turnover of over £40 million and 700 staff. Grahame says he is motivated by Feniks’ purpose and hopes that he will complement the skills of the other Board members in helping Feniks to achieve its Aims.
