I work as a psychotherapist in both Polish and English. I hold a master’s degree in Pedagogy and Psychology, as well as qualifications in working with families and relationships within the family system, which I completed in Poland. I also completed an HND in Counselling at New College Lanarkshire in Scotland. I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and work in accordance with its ethical code.
In Poland, I worked as a therapist and teacher and also provided support to parents of children with disabilities. I currently work at Feniks with adults and young adults aged 18 and over.
In my work, I draw primarily on the humanistic approach, particularly Person-Centred Therapy, as well as the pluralistic approach. I believe that every person is unique and has their own history, experiences, needs and resources. For this reason, it is important to me that therapy is tailored to the individual I am working with, their needs, goals and their way of experiencing the world.
I aim to create a space based on empathy, authenticity, respect and acceptance, where people can safely explore their experiences, emotions, thoughts and relationships. It is important to me that the person I am working with feels able to be themselves and has a sense of being heard and understood without judgement.
I support people who are going through a difficult or significant period in their lives, experiencing crisis, loss and grief, anxiety, stress or burnout, as well as those facing difficulties in relationships, addiction or low self-esteem. I also work with people who want to develop a better understanding of themselves, explore their needs and ways of functioning, and find greater alignment between the way they live and what is truly important to them.
In caring for myself and my practice, I seek to find a balance between spending time close to nature and exploring my curiosity about the world through hiking in the mountains, culture, art and film. I value moments that allow me to slow down, pause and look at myself and the world around me from a new perspective
